There are five reflex zones on the foot: the celiac plexus, the spleen, the kidneys, the ureter, and the bladder. These five reflex areas must be strengthened at the beginning or end of the massage.
(1) Sequence of massage: For full foot massage, start from the left foot, massage the three reflex zones of kidney, ureter and bladder 3 times, and then press the sole, inner side, outer side and instep of the foot. When massaging, the key point is to find the sensitive points, so that you don't need to use much force, you will feel soreness in the massaged area, and it will have curative effect.
(2) The intensity of massage: the intensity of massage is an important factor in obtaining the curative effect. If the intensity is too small, it will have no effect. Otherwise, it is unbearable, so it should be moderate and even. The so-called moderation refers to the principle of “getting qi” if there is soreness in the massage place. The so-called uniform means that the massage force should gradually infiltrate, lift slowly, and have a certain rhythm.
(3) Massage time: During massage therapy, it is necessary to master the massage time according to the symptoms and constitution. Generally, the massage time for a single reflex area is 3 to 5 minutes, but for the kidneys, ureters, and bladder. The reflex area must be massaged for 5 minutes to strengthen the urinary function, thereby expelling the toxic substances from the body. The overall massage time should be controlled within 30 to 45 minutes.
